Example of Resolving Data Quality Issue

During my tenure as an MIS Executive, I encountered a data quality issue related to the sales data in our CRM system. The issue was causing discrepancies in the reports being generated for the sales team, leading to incorrect insights and decision-making.

After investigating the issue, I discovered that the issue stemmed from a data integration error that was not capturing all sales transactions accurately. To resolve this, I collaborated with the IT team to implement a data cleansing process and put in place validation checks to ensure the accuracy of the data being entered into the system.

As a result of these efforts, the quality of the sales data improved significantly, and the reports generated for the sales team became more reliable. This, in turn, helped the sales team make data-driven decisions with confidence, ultimately leading to improved performance and efficiency within the organization.
