Objective:

By the end of this lesson, students will be able to identify the three states of matter (solid, liquid, gas) and provide examples of each.

Lesson Plan:

1. Introduction (10 minutes) - Start the lesson by discussing the concept of matter and introducing the three states of matter.
2. Class Activity (20 minutes) - Divide students into groups and give each group a plastic cup filled with water, ice cubes, and a balloon. Ask students to observe and discuss the properties of each state of matter.
3. Interactive Demonstration (15 minutes) - Use the interactive whiteboard to demonstrate the properties of solids, liquids, and gases using visuals and examples.
4. Hands-On Activity (15 minutes) - Have students work individually to create models of solids, liquids, and gases using playdough.
