During my previous role as a project manager, I encountered a challenging situation where one of our key team members unexpectedly resigned just before a major project deadline. This left us shorthanded and put the successful completion of the project at risk.

To handle this situation, I immediately assessed the skills and availability of the remaining team members and redistributed the workload to ensure that critical tasks were still being completed on time. I also reached out to our network to quickly find a suitable replacement for the team member who left, expediting the recruiting process.

Thanks to my proactive approach and ability to adapt quickly to unexpected changes, we were able to complete the project successfully and on schedule. This experience taught me the importance of having contingency plans in place and being able to think on my feet in high-pressure situations.
