Answer to Quality Assurance Manager Interview Question
During my experience as a Quality Assurance Manager, I encountered a situation where our testing team identified a critical bug in the software. This bug caused the application to crash unexpectedly when certain user inputs were entered.
To resolve this issue, I immediately initiated a thorough analysis of the bug, including inspecting the code changes that occurred prior to its occurrence. I collaborated with the development team to understand the root cause of the problem and prioritize its resolution.
We created a detailed test plan to systematically recreate the problem and verify the fix. Through rigorous testing and collaboration with the developers, we were able to identify the faulty code segment and implement a solution that resolved the issue without impacting other functionalities of the software.
Ultimately, the proactive approach taken in addressing this problem not only enhanced the quality of the software but also improved the communication and teamwork between the testing and development teams.
