Interview Question: Can you describe an instance when you had to make a quick decision under a deadline?
As a reporter, I have encountered numerous situations where I had to make quick decisions under tight deadlines. One particular instance that stands out is when I was covering a breaking news story about a major local event that was unfolding rapidly.
With limited time to gather information and ensure accuracy, I had to make swift decisions on which sources to reach out to, what questions to ask, and how to prioritize the most crucial details for my report. Despite the pressure, I remained calm and focused, ultimately delivering a timely and comprehensive news story that provided valuable insights to our audience.
This experience highlighted the importance of quick thinking, efficient decision-making, and maintaining composure under pressure – all essential skills for a reporter working in a fast-paced and dynamic media environment.
