What is the probability of rolling two dice and both landing on a prime number?
When rolling two dice, each dice has 6 sides and can land on numbers 1 to 6. Prime numbers less than or equal to 6 are 2, 3, and 5.
There are a total of 6 x 6 = 36 possible outcomes when rolling two dice.
Out of these 36 outcomes, the combinations where both dice land on a prime number are: {(2,2), (2,3), (2,5), (3,2), (3,3), (3,5), (5,2), (5,3), (5,5)}
So, there are 9 favorable outcomes.
Therefore, the probability of rolling two dice and both landing on a prime number is: 9 / 36 = 1 / 4 = 0.25 or 25%
